Last week’s winds left us with a close call on the estate.

A large tree on the property split during the storms that rolled through last week and now threatens the pool fencing. Moments like this remind us that the project reaches far beyond the walls, it’s the land, the history, and yes… the elements, too. We’ve already scheduled a tree removal team to step in and take it down before it makes any bigger moves and damages a beautiful piece of history, the pool fence.
Inside, the momentum keeps building! The Penthouse sunroom, the same one we highlighted a couple of weeks ago, took a big step forward this week as crews installed glass into the vaulted ceiling. That addition pulls even more natural light through the space and into the surrounding bedrooms, and you can already feel the shift. What started as a beautiful room now begins to define itself as one of the brightest, most inviting spaces in the house.
With HVAC making huge strides, everything else opens up. The “elephant trunks” (our nickname for the oversized ductwork) no longer steal the spotlight; they’ve settled into place now that the fan hardware is installed. The elephants have officially left the room. Big progress like this clears the way for painters to move in and finish their work in spaces that couldn’t be finished, while electricians begin installing sconces and lighting throughout the home. We even got a sneak peek at the lighting selections in one of the honeymoon suite bathrooms, and they are, without question, chef’s kiss!
Behind the scenes, the magic continues. Bob and Frances spent time together this week refining plans for upcoming carpentry enhancements, and Frances has officially dubbed Bob “the magician.” After seeing the level of craftsmanship he brings to even the smallest details, we’d have to agree.
